Mother Quotes

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Dear Mom

I'm the spitting image heir to you,
we think and act the same.
I'm your child and your daughter,
to whom you gave life and name.

You're my role model and hero,
who takes me here and there
I am truly very lucky
to be your spitting image heir

When times are rough you comfort me,
and hold me in your arms.
At night when I am scared
you save me from all harms

You are everything I could want to be,
but simply your much more.
Your a role model and mother
this is what I do adore.

My Mom And Angel

My teenage years have been rough,
There are times when I just want to give up,
My nerves get so shot,
And I feel like I'm going to erupt,
But then you walk in the door,
While I'm listening to a sad song,
And of course you turn it off,
And ask me what's wrong,
I explain it you,
And you say it'll be ok,
You give comforting advice,
You make the day a better day,
I want you to know how glad I am,
That you are my dad's wife,
I don't know what I did to be so blessed,
To have an angel like you in my life,
Here lately things have been hectic,
And I'm sorry that we fight,
Were not going to anymore,
Cause tonight's a brand new night,
Thank you for putting up with me,
For being so calm,
I want you to know I don't consider you my step mother,
You're my mom,
There are not enough words to express,
How much you I thank you for everything you do,
Hopefully this will be enough,
I love you,
I'm going to end this now,
Because I'm going to write you a letter,
But I'll talk to you soon,
And I hope you get to feeling better!

Always Watching

I was watching you sleep the other day

And prayed that it would last

The peace that rested on your face

I'd never seen in the past

I was watching you speak a while ago

And hoped that you'd go on

The way your words, they had no end

Your Spirit seemed so strong

I was watching you fight the other day

And prayed my tears would dry

All this I knew was done for me

And couldn't figure out why

I was watching you smile a couple of days ago

And stared in total awe

Was it me who made you shine?

Was that triumph that I saw?

And all this time you've waited

And all this time you've helped

And all the things you sacrificed

For me to grow up well

And all the tears you've dried

And all the pain you soothed

And all the truths you have to hide

Without one simple Thank You

But I was watching you today

And I realized that I can't wait

To tell you how much I appreciate

And love you in every way

Thanks Mom

Nobody's Like You, Mom

Nobody's quite like you, Mom.
You're special in every way.
You cheer me up, you fill my cup
With tenderness, come what may.
Nobody loves me like you, Mom.
No matter what I do,
Good or bad, happy or sad,
You support me; You always come through.
Nobody's equal to you, Mom.
With you in my life, I'm blessed.
I love you so, and I want you to know
I think you're the very best!

A Thousand Thanks

Mother's Day brings to mind
The thousands of things you did for me
that helped make me happier,
stronger and wiser,
because I had you as a role model.

I'm grateful for all the times
you healed my hurts
and calmed my fears,
so that I could face the world
feeling safe and secure.

I'm thankful for all you showed me
about how to love and give--
lessons that now bring
so many blessings to me
each and every day.

Your sacrifices and unselfishness
did not go unnoticed, Mom.
I admire you, I respect you,
I love you.And I'm so glad you're my mother!

Happy Mother's Day!

I Learned From You

learned about love from you,
Watching your caring ways.
I learned about joy from you
In fun-filled yesterdays.

From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small.
I learned what I know about living
From you, as you gave life your all.

The example you set is still with me
I'd never want any other.
I'm thankful for all that you taught me
,And I'm blessed to call you "Mother."

You Let Me Know You Love Me

You let me know you love me
In so many different ways.
You make me feel important
With encouragement and praise.

You're always there when I need you
To comfort and to care.
I know I'm in your thoughts;
Your love follows me everywhere.

Thank you for all you've done
And given so generously.
I love you, my wonderful mother;
You're a heaven-sent blessing to me.

My Miracle Mother

Mom, I look at you
and see a walking miracle.
Your unfailing love without limit,
your ability to soothe my every hurt,
the way you are on duty, unselfishly,
every hour, every day,
makes me so grateful
that I am yours, and you are mine.
With open arms and open heart,
with enduring patience and inner strength,
you gave so much for me,
sometimes at your expense.
You are my teacher,
my comforter, my encourager,
appreciating all, forgiving all.
Sometimes I took you for granted, Mom,
but I don’t now, and I never will again.
I know that everything I am today
relates to you and your loving care.
I gaze in wonder
as I watch you being you—
my miracle, my mother.

What "Mother" Means....

"Mother" is such a simple word,
But to me there’s meaning seldom heard.
For everything I am today,
My mother’s love showed me the way.

I’ll love my mother all my days,
For enriching my life in so many ways.
She set me straight and then set me free,
And that’s what the word "mother" means to me.

Thanks for being a wonderful mother, Mom!

Daughter of My Heart

You turned out even better
Than I often dreamed you’d be;
You’re more than I had hoped for;
You’re a sweet reward to me.

You grew up to be a mother
Full of wisdom, warmth and love,
A good and fine role model,
A blessing from above.

I couldn’t be any prouder
Than I am today of you;
You’re my daughter and my friend,
And a wonderful person, too.

You have my love forever;
I adored you from the start;
It’s a privilege to be your mother,
Dear daughter of my heart.

A Sonnet for My Incomparable Mother

I often contemplate my childhood, Mom.
I am a mother now, and so I know
Hard work is mixed together with the fun;
You learned that when you raised me long ago.

I think of all the things you gave to me:
Sacrifice, devotion, love and tears,
Your heart, your mind, your energy and soul--
All these you spent on me throughout the years.

You loved me with a never-failing love
You gave me strength and sweet security,
And then you did the hardest thing of all:
You let me separate and set me free.

Every day, I try my best to be
A mother like the mom you were to me.
